Why Are Cigars Addictive?

There is something in the male psyche that makes men feel tough whenever they chew a wrap of cigar. It is perhaps not so surprising when you consider how many film stars have incorporated cigars in their roles. Cigars are nothing but rolled tobacco, and so it is a wonder how it can do what it does to people.

It is easy to make the error of considering the use of cigars an insignificant vice. To those who love it, it is a lifestyle. To someone who understands cigars, every stick has special meaning, every puff is one of true enjoyment.

Socialization is facilitated by each puff. Cigars have become the basis of bonds on many occasions. They talk about the finest cigar brands and where they get them.

Great tobacco is said to come from countries such as Cuba. Indonesia and the Philippines join the ranks of Latin countries when it comes to superb tobacco. There are relatively fewer pieces of restrictive legislation pertaining to the importation of cigars into US soil.

It is fairly easy to find a cigar in the country: go to a convenience store or even a pharmacist's shop. More valuable brands' cigars can be purchased from tobacco stores. Woolworth and A&P offer some of the most expensive rolls to be found.

The most expensive cigars are those manufactured by Altadis, which is the largest cigar producer in the world. Altadis’s biggest markets are those in the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras. Altadis also produces cigarettes.

Another major producer would be the company known as Swedish Match. They produce products in Germany, Belgium, Honduras, Indonesia, the United States, and the Dominican Republic. Swedish Match also makes pipe tobacco, snuff and lighters.

Then there are the famous offerings from the Fuente Family. Since 1912, this family of cigar lovers and producers has been selling its popular Arturo Fuente and Montesino cigar types. And almost a century later, it released the Fuente Fuente OpusX cigar, which was later considered the first quality wrapper grown in the Dominican Republic.

Perhaps the most well-known cigar brand from Latin America is that of the León Family. One can trace their beginnings to 100 years in the past. Their La Aurora is very well known in the cigar-smoking community.

Too many people use cigars for them to go away any time soon. Cigars are currently understood to be fairly expensive items now. Those who do smoke belong to the ranks of famous people such as Winston Churchill, Sigmund Freud, and Che Guevara, who all loved a delicious, exotic puff.
